Project summary
[edit]Briefly summarize your project proposal.
- The project aims to raise awareness about Wikimedia projects and highlight the important role journalists play in documenting knowledge as secondary sources for Wikipedia and its sister projects. This campaign will foster collaboration between the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria (WUGN) and journalists, encouraging new editors to contribute to open knowledge. It also offers women journalists an opportunity to learn how information is represented on Wikipedia, with a special focus on notability guidelines for notable Nigerian women. The project is being carried out in partnership with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kaduna State chapter, to help its members understand their role in Wikipedia editing.
