- This grant will facilitate the recruitment and training of new and existing editors at the Northeast Wikimedia Community. The program will also serve as an opportunity for the first meetup of the fast-growing community members, and introduce them to how to contribute multimedia to Commons - heritage sites, monuments -, and Wikivoyage to ensure visibility for a lot of tourist sites in the region.

- Atiba is an experienced community organiser, coordinator and certified Wikimedian trainer.
- Merit is an experienced Wikipedian, and will be available to complement as a facilitator.
- Lazbon will be serving as moderator during the program and supporting the facilitator to ensure the accomplishment of the program objectives.
5. Do participants have the equipment or skills needed to participate and contribute high-quality content? If not, how will you support them? 5
- Participants will be participating with their laptops or smartphones.
6. How will you engage participants after the event(s)?
The community WhatsApp group will be utilized in keeping participants updated with the latest developments during and after the programme.
7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?
This program will serve as a good opportunity for community members to meet after the first ever wikimedia training in the region to share ideas, and strategic plans for a formal community to promote mission-aligned objectives, Q&A session, capacity development and sustainability of the fast-growing community in an underrepresented region.

The outreach dashboard will be utilised in tracking the project metrics.
Resources

- Atiba will be facilitating the practical session on Wikipedia basic editing, Improving existing articles, image usage, and linking items to wikimedia projects.
- Merit: will compliment the lead trainer on ways to contribute multimedia content to Commons, and techniques to source copyright-free images for Commons.
Support in-kind donations or funding is not envisaged. What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense and include a total amount.
