Wikipedia Training and Awareness in Musawa is aimed at introducing and promoting active participation in the Wikimedia movement within Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, Nigeria. The initiative seeks to train new editors, raise awareness about the importance of free knowledge, and increase local contributions to Hausa and English Wikipedia projects. Through a series of practical workshops and outreach activities, the project will equip participants—particularly youths, students, educators, and community members—with the skills needed to edit, create, and improve Wikipedia articles. The training will also cover key Wikimedia sister projects such as Wikimedia Commons.
