  • The Wiktionary Workshop in Daura is here to help people learn about free and open resources for language. The main focus is on Wiktionary, which is an online dictionary that anyone can help build.

During the workshop, participants will get hands-on training on how to contribute to Wiktionary. This includes adding new words, editing current entries, and making sure the information is correct and detailed, especially for indigenous languages.

1. Are you doing one editathon or training or a series of editathons or trainings?

Two days physical training and workshop

2. How have you let relevant Wikimedia communities know about this proposal? You may also provide information about external social media channels you may be using.

I will continue let my community knows about the proposal via our social media handles and Hausa Wikipedia and Hausa Wikimedians User Group Discussion pages.

3. How will you let participants know about the edit-a-thon? In what ways will you be communicating with them?
For example, these can include on-wiki spaces, social media channels, mailing lists, messaging apps, or physical/online gatherings.

I will let the target participants and communicate with them via our previous event WhatsApp group and phone calls.

4. Do you have experienced Wikimedia editors to lead/assist the event? Please provide links to the usernames of these individuals. (NOTE: all experienced Wikimedia editors MUST endorse and sign your proposal as proof of availability)

Yes they have smartphones some also have Laptop

We already have a WhatsApp group of my previous project, I will continue engaging them there.

7. Is there anything else you want to tell us about this project?

This project is important to Daura community because, to the best of knowledge, a program related to this Wikimedias sisters project hasn't been organized before now in Daura community.

I will track all the participant's contribution via WMF Dashboard tool

I User:Mahuta will lead the event, and User:Hamza DK will be invited to help me with the training.

What resources do you need? For your funding request, list bullet points for each expense as a unit amount and include a total amount.
