"8. In your previous financial year, did your chapter provide grants to other individuals or entities? If so, how much (in $US)? "

Could you clarify whether this means non-Wikimedia individuals or entities, or a combination of both? E.g. WMUK has given grants to WMF, WMDE, WMFR, and funded projects run by Wikimedia individuals - do those count, or would it e.g. be like grants to the OpenStreetMap Foundation? Thanks. Hi Mike. We're interested all non-WMF entities and individuals that WMUK has provided funds to. Examples include other Chapters, individuals from within the movement, and external organizations. --Divya (talk) 21:54, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chapter Finances Survey results[edit]

Excellent questions. These answers will be helpful in defining the FDC process. I was wondering how the the answers will be collected. Will they be answered by individual chapters and available for viewing in that form, and then also tabulated together for a summary of the results? Hi Sydney. Great question. You are exactly right - in addition to individual Chapter pages, we will summarize output into a table on Meta and will also use it to develop charts and insights for the Advisory Group meeting on June 9th. Wikimedia Kenya[edit]

Hi Stephen - I would include those expenses in your total for last year. It will be very helpful for us because we're trying to get a sense of overall chapter needs (even though some of those expenses were incurred before you were officially a chapter). Thanks so much!
