Dear Wikimedia Deutschland Colleagues:

Thank you for submitting this detailed report on time. We learned a lot about your work from this report. We appreciate that you are aiming high by planning complex and ambitious activities involving many stakeholders and that you are thoroughly documenting change models for each program.

  • We appreciate that you explained the changes made to your annual plan after the decision of the FDC since it offers insight into your priorities. We look forward to continuing the discussion about how the cross-movement work began by WMDE will continue in the future and how WMF can support this work.
  • We are pleased to learn that your new space is being well-utilized and that you have already hosted many events in the new space. We hope it enables fruitful program work in the future.
  • Thank you for sharing your achievement in restructuring your technical work to streamline standards and processes in this area. We are glad to learn you feel this is an effective change and look forward to the results in terms of your technical achievements. We are glad to learn that the onboarding of your two new team members working on WikiData, an important work area, was a highlight for you. If you have any lessons to share with the broader community about this success, please consider contributing a learning pattern.
  • We look forward to the development of your change models for stronger initiatives and social processes and processes for the improvement of structures, as we would like to better understand your work in this area.
  • Congratulations on increasing the number of requests funded per quarter to 230 from your average from last year of 150, and thank you for your work on the funding portal. In future quarters, we hope to learn more about how you are understanding the impact of this support .
  • Congratulations on supporting the uploading of 6,718 new photos. In the future, we’d like to better understand how the supported content is being used on the Wikimedia projects as well.
  • We hope your work in the area of institutional partnerships will be good groundwork for results in future quarters, resulting in an impressive amount of free content. If you have learning to share with others in this area (for example, around successes and challenges with Coding da Vinci), please consider contributing some learning patterns about this work. We appreciate your observations around the challenges of working with groups of partners, and look forward to seeing how WMDE successfully navigates those complex partnerships moving forward.
  • We’re eagerly following your work on the legal and social framework. We know the impact of this work is challenging to understand and measure, and we appreciate the details and observations around successes and challenges provided here.
  • Unanswered questions: We noticed you did not answer these questions. Do you have anything to share in these areas?
    • What unanticipated challenges did you encounter and how did this affect what you were able to accomplish?
    • What changes might you make in executing your initiatives into the next quarter?

Thank you once again and best regards from FDC staff! Winifred Olliff (FDC Support Team) talk 23:21, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
