Comments on this report from FDC staff[edit]

Thank you for sharing reflections on how your activities went. We understand that WMRS must have experienced many challenges working in Serbia this quarter amid the serious flooding. WMRS still enjoyed many programmatic successes in Quarter 2, despite these difficult circumstances.

Congratulations on more than tripling the number of photos collected across your programs in Quarter 2! We noted your achievement in the accreditation of the “Application of online wiki encyclopedia in Serbian language in lecturing and studying” program. Keep us posted on the progress. We are excited to learn about your Wiki Loves Earth photo contest and your collaboration with the Institute for Nature Conservation of Serbia. We are also interested in the results of your writing competition. You reported the evaluation of the 373 new articles created through your work. Congratulations, too, on exceeding your goal in terms of the number of participants by 4 people. When doing similar work in the future, we encourage you to collect the usernames of these participants in order to track their editing activity over time.

Despite the obstacles presented by the flood, it seems like your photo safari activities were still successful and that you exceeded your goals. We see that you are building momentum in your GLAM partnership work, and as well that 900 articles and images were contributed through this work! Congratulations on completing your work on the 1001 Arabic words project, and exceeding your goals. We encourage you to contribute some learning patterns around your work with Wiktionary if you think they would be helpful to others interested in doing similar work.

We were also interested to learn that the microgrants program has been successful in attracting a lot of interest from the volunteers, and possibly interest from some people who would like to continue to be involved. We hope that as microgrants are completed, WMRS is looking at what is achieved as a result of these grants to get a picture of what the entire program is achieving through the projects. It can take some time to understand the results of a program like this, since projects need time to be completed before you can analyze the results.

Thanks, too, for reporting on the additional programs and information! Femwiki was quite interesting, and it will be interesting to see what more work comes out of this program.

Finally, there is a minor discrepancy in your financial report (expenses). Would you please check and correct the total in the first column of Table 3. Your reported budgeted expenses listed by category currently do not add up to your total reported budgeted expenses.

Thanks again for the good report, and we are looking forward to learning more about your work next quarter. Best regards from FDC staff! Winifred Olliff (FDC Support Team) talk 22:55, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
