Report accepted[edit]

Hi Harej,

Thanks for submitting an engaging and very thoroughly written midpoint report. I am glad that I had a chance to hear more about it in person during the Wikimedia Conference in Berlin. I'm accepting this report today and, for your reference, providing a brief summary below of the questions and feedback we covered in our meeting with Siko on May 15th:

  • You’ve done a lovely job of showing your progress (not just telling about it) by providing links that demonstrate your work to date. It’s great to be able to see firsthand some of what you’ve accomplished so far.
  • You may want to put some thought into defining future tech needs--which would be ‘nice-to-have’ and which are barriers to scaling? Anything beyond bots and templates? Any need for gadgets?
  • Going forward, consider whether you may need to shift any of your strategies in order to mitigate for the challenges you listed in your report. For example, if you continue to find that you are receiving less volunteer support than anticipated, will you need to allocate extra time from your core team?
  • As your thinking progresses around measuring impact, we’re interested in continuing to partner with you to think through how you’ll be measuring and reporting at the end of this project - looking forward to our brainstorm session with Jonathan! We’re interested in seeing what indicators might help you understand if new system/features are helping build stronger community connections for your users, helping them create more/better content, and work together more effectively.

Congratulations on your excellent progress to date. Janice will be in touch with you soon to process your second disbursement of funds.
