Forking content?[edit]

Since this idea would take a good deal of work to get it off the ground, I'm not sure that it is practical as an proposal for this Inspire Campaign. But it would be possible to take a group of articles into a new wiki. They would have a similar copyright license so later on someone could bring all or parts of some of them back to Wikipedia.

The down side of this idea (beside all the work it would be to fork content) is that Wikipedia is a well known website with a large readership. The new wiki would not have the same level of readership for a long time so many fewer people would read the content. Sydney Poore/FloNight (talk) 01:12, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
