Grants talk:PEG/FF portal/Recommendations/Medievalia 2013

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Thanks for this funding recommendation, Ilario! We can fund this.

Could you just clarify a couple of little points:

1. Who will be delivering the little talk about Wikipedia at the end? Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 14:00, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2. Who will be assisting the (presumably inexperienced) Medievalia folks with uploading to Commons? Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 14:00, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

3. Who is taking responsibility for ensuring materials are released under a free license? (at least CC-by-sa, no NC clause). Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 14:00, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 14:00, 7 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I offered to be present at the end mainly because I am not new for the attendees (I wrote some historical books and they know me through them). I offered to participate for free, so I will not receive any refund or fee. The decision was done before this request in order to give my personal support to this initiative. --Ilario (talk) 15:47, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The material will be released in PDF or in .ogg and I can take care of it with a group of Wikipedians. It is not planned a workshop but it may be an opportunity to plan a new project of workshops if the participants are interested. --Ilario (talk) 15:47, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am waiting to receive the official statement of the association. --Ilario (talk) 15:47, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please find the decaration]. Take care that some concepts like cc-by-sa or free license are new for them, so they will be explained and the people will be invited to donate their works. Some of them, like the ancient musics, have really important historical value because some of them are result of researchs in archives. --Ilario (talk) 08:21, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the answers! The request is confirmed. Please contact me with Pietro's Email address so that I may get in touch with him. Cheers, Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 01:06, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

______

Due to my very little experince in the Wiki sintax, there is an evident mistake in the financial details table, at the link http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/FF_portal/Recommendations/Medievalia_2013.

The total amount of the sum of each item is 1860 eu, instead of 1945 eu. The difference is 85 eu and it is due to my mistake!

In fact, I forgot to insert (or to confirm) in the on line form on FF/portal the item 8 concerning with "copies of musical scores, concert booklets and event booklets, invitations", for the expense of 85 eu.

Thus, we could have: 1860 + 85 eu = 1945 eu (the total amount of the Wiki grant).

Anyway, we have only spend 1833 euro, because we saved 112 eu for placarding in Naples.

And the 85 euro are already included in 1833 euro that we have spent! Pietro Di Lorenzo 07:10, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Change approved[edit]

Thank you, Pietro. We understand this mistake, and will approve the correction, which does not change the overall budget amount. Best regards, Winifred Olliff (Grants Administrator) talk 16:02, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
