The implementation process of the plan, the filing and uploading of historical professional knowledge, local medical documents, local community documents, and proverbs, etc., will bel completed by students and community members. 4) Re "Scanning and uploading at least 100 early documentations of the history of medicine", do you plan to make these available via Wikisource and Wikimedia commons? And covert the documents into text so it's easier for volunteers to use the data? Would you also like to add these targets to your core metrics?

The full text identification meeting is the goal of this project. At present, a small number of well-preserved and easily identifiable historical materials are planned to be conducted on a small scale by enthusiastic workshop participants. If more resources are invested in the follow-up, the scale will be expanded and the work level of interpretation, errors, and calibration will be improved.

What are your thoughts to this? And how would you adapt your proposal to better address this feedback?

[note 1]

Alliances Fund Programme Funding approved in the amount of TWD 1,810,076[edit]

Congratulations! Your grant is approved in the amount of TWD 1,810,076 for one year (see details of approved budget), with a grant term starting 1 March 2022 and ending 28 February 2023.

The ESEAP Funds Committee is pleased to support the work of the Department of History, National Cheng Kung University. The Committee values the efforts in putting together the grant application and budget and is aware that this project grew from your collaboration with Wikimedia Taiwan in the past years. More details here

The Committee and Programme Officer see a number of strengths in your application. This project weaves together theory and practical components of learning from editing using wikiproject tools to research skills and analysing medical archives to build a community historical narrative. We are also aware that the project team has the subject matter expertise, networks and manpower to carry out the project.

We support your growth area which is to work with Wikimedia Taiwan and community volunteers to address how you plan to make the digitisation of medical history books available and usable on Wikiprojects with more clarity on timeline and metrics.

In your 2022/2023 learning journey, the Committee and Programme Officer envisions you may make further inroads to work with Wikimedia Taiwan to examine how to use this project as a case study to validate (or qualitatively assess) the impact of wikiprojects in classrooms. We look forward to being on this journey with you and learning about this in your reports.

Thank you.
