This project aligns perfectly with Wikimedia's mission of making knowledge freely accessible and verifiable. We witnessed how vibrant and competent the applicant was during his first project. I admired his commitment to pursue the set goals for his project as well as friendliness and respect for his team members. He is among the best personalities I have work with and his focus on 1Lib1Ref to improve article references is something remarkable. Ibrahim442 (talk) 10:11, 14 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

As a certified librarian, seeing someone running a 1Lib1Ref campaign in my community has been my long time dream. Looking at the experience of the applicant and the team to support him, I believe there is a chance for having a great outcome in the end of the campaign. Hello Apdoull, thank you for submitting your Rapid Fund request. We appreciate your commitment to contributing to the Wikimedia Movement.

After reviewing your application, we have decided not to fund it. This decision was made based on the following reason:

  • Duplication of efforts and lack of collaboration. Multiple 1Lib1Ref requests that overlap.
  • There are multiple grant requests that have similar team members in the grant requests. We encourage you to work together on a single grant request and project.

We kindly encourage you to take the campaign timeline into account when applying for Wiki Loves Africa grants in the future.

On behalf of the Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Review Team. WBuloso-WMF (talk) 08:38, 3 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
