Lastly, I am committed to participating in the program to offer my mental and physical support for its success. Together, we can work towards amplifying Nigerian voices and enriching the global digital landscape with diverse perspectives and narratives.

Project Goals

The project aims to promote Nigerian legends and heroes on Wikimedia platforms, addressing content gaps and celebrating their contributions and significances. It will recruit and train both existing and new editors, promote awareness in local languages, and provide training in Wikimedia Projects. The short-term impact includes improving articles related to Nigerian Legends and Heroes. Long-term goals involve establishing an annual campaign and utilizing collaboration and WIR across to retain Wikimedia editors. The project has garnered endorsement and support, emphasizing its measurable impact and commitment to inclusivity in representing Nigerian history and culture.

Lastly, I have been informed of the project and my roles and I will be available to offer my support.

IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY

The project aims to increase the visibility of Nigerian Legends and Heroes, with a specific focus on Nigerian Figures. It seeks to achieve future impacts through collaborations among editors across the Country, retention of editors, and by targeting underrepresented categories to enhance sustainability. Present impacts include laying the groundwork for future endeavors, increasing visibility of Nigerian figures on Wikimedia platforms, training and recruiting new editors, and building a community essential for sustained engagement and impact within the Wikimedia Movement.

Celebrating Diversity; Promoting Nigerian Heroes on Wikimedia
