- 1a) Re question 8, could you provide more details about Sanjog Dev as there is limited information on the Wiki User page.

- 1b) Could you also provide more details of the a) deliverables of the local employee for the project and if there is a person in mind for the role?
- 1c) Could you provide more details of the deliverables of each team member during the project duration?
- 2) How do you plan to get access to the members of Madhesh Provincial Assembly? And of the 107 members, how many members are you plan to set up content contribution about on for Wikidata and Wikiprojects? Could you also include 10-15 wikipedia articles to the content contribution as well?
- 3) Related to question 11, could you provide the direct link to documentation demonstrating that you have completed community consultation. Or if this has not been done, could you provide a brief on how you plan to do it?
- 4) Here's a sample project guide on how others within the movement have also set up similar projects to yours. The final report is available here.
- 5) On your proposed budget, could you provide a breakdown of the unit cost for travel and accommodation and for whom the provisions are made? Also for merchandising, the estimated quantity is 150. Could you provide a breakdown of the participants who would receive the merchandise?
- 6) Have you worked with a fiscal sponsor for your project? We would recommend working with a fiscal sponsor for your next application. Please reach out to me if you would like to find out more.

Response
[edit]Hello JChen,
Thanks for the questions regarding our project proposal. Pardon me for the delay in replying to the asked questions.
1. The details information about the Maithili Wikimedians Executive members can be seen here - Team member profile. I have also updated the deliverables of each team member and local employee at fluxx portal.
2. We have learned from the first itinerary of the same project. We will contact the Madhesh Provincial Assembly Secretariat and Office of the Chief Minister to get permission to click the portraits of MPA of Madhesh Province. We will approach local provincial assembly members, Manish Kumar Suman and current chief minister Satish Kumar Singh to help and provide their expertise to successful completion of this project. We will document all the 107 MPA to the Wikidate and try to photograph most of them. We will definitely try to create a few articles about them.
3. We have updated the information on Wikimedia fluxx portal regarding your question. We have a virtual meeting on March 1, 2025 and from the meeting we have a decision to run this project. We have started the community consultation from today - VP.
4. Thanks for the link, we liked the way they documented their projects. We will also do the same.
5. The travel and accommodation is for the team members (8) who will travel to Janakpur (the capital of Madhesh Province) at least 3 times during the project timeline. The merchandise will be distributed to the Provincial Assembly Members (107) and Officials (43 estimated) who will support this project.
6. The Maithili Wikimedians is a registered organization in Nepal. We have all the legal updated documents to receive the funds from outside the country. Update on your application
[edit]Hello @PANKAJ DEO and @Biplab Anand,
Thank you for connecting earlier. As shared during the call, there is potential for the application to include an expanded scope (i.e. covering more localities), more content contribution, include more partnerships that can amplify the work that you are doing. As a next step, @Nabin K. Sapkota (from the South Asia Regional Funds Committee) will also be providing support as a local resource person and thought partner to further work with you on your application. Your application will be moved to the next rapid fund cycle.
Thank you.

Final edits to be incorporated, to move project forward
[edit]Hello @PANKAJ DEO and @Biplab Anand,
Hope you are well. I am also adding an update here, in addition to our email correspondence. To move your project forward, you'll need to 1) review your implementation team 2) consider including community building elements into your project, beyond a one-off initiative
Please make the final changes on Fluxx and submit the application by 15 September so that we can move your application forward in Cycle 2.
Thank you.

Declining/ Withdrawal of rapid fund grant application
[edit]Hello @PANKAJ DEO and @Biplab Anand,
Thank you for taking a moment to connect today. Based on the updated operating context in Nepal, I understand that this project will not be possible to implement. Therefore, while changes have been made to the application, the preference from the team is to withdraw/decline this project and put in a fresh application.
As a follow-up, I have updated the status of the project on Fluxx as well so there is no action needed on your end.
We look forward to working closely with you on the new application. Thank you.
