Hello Equalitychampion, thank you for submitting your Rapid Fund request. We appreciate your commitment to contributing to the Wikimedia Movement.

After reviewing your application, we have decided not to fund it. This decision was made based on the following reason:

• ​The proposed change, theme, activities, and strategies does not align with the focus of the global WikiForHumanRights campaign. Emphasis is on art and culture than human rights, climate and sustainability or empowering queer contributors to contribute to the aforementioned topics. A good practice for engaging queer contributors to contribute to Wikimedia projects is to collaborate with or seek the support of experienced topical organizers and affiliates to co-create and implement activities. Examples might include Wikimedia LGBT+, Write for Human Rights Nigeria, Wiki Loves Pride and Bisi Alimi Foundation. But the application does not demonstrate this. Additionally, the application timeline does not align with the 2025 global WikiForHumanRights calendar.
