Request for Correction in Rapid Grant Application

[edit]

Dear @VThamaini (WMF) @DSaroyan (WMF)

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about a mistake I made in my recent rapid grant application, which is currently under review.

In the application, I inadvertently included Wikivoyage as a target wiki metric. This was an error, and the intended target wiki should be Wikiquote and Incubator.

Unfortunately, I am unable to make this correction myself in Fluxx because the application has already been submitted. I kindly request your assistance in rectifying this mistake.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Thanks A Salisu (talk) 20:41, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

I support this proposal for the project, which I am sure the applicant is a professional female editor and the project that will be led by many women will create a positive impact especially because of its importance in solving this problem that affects Africans. I trust him.

This project sets to feel in gender gap and create more awareness to the students and academicians from SBRS Funtua. It will add up to both the goals of Wiki Loves Women (of engaging more women) and the 2030 Strategic goals (by extending Wikimedia to reach every angle and include diverse commhnity). Plus, Hausa Wikiquote (Incubator) needs more editors and articles alike, engaging students and lecturers on this project will increase it's rapid development.

I therefore support this project and will be available for any necessary guidance about this campaign Uncle Bash007 (talk) 16:12, 21 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Rapid Fund Request : Not Funded

[edit]

Thank you for submitting your application. After a thorough review of your proposal, we have made a decision not to fund your proposal. See the notes speaking to the rationale of the decision below;

  • We believe the project at this scale can be supported by the Wikimedia Nigeria User Group mini-grant program, which you have applied for in the past.
  • Additionally, it will be worthwhile to coordinate with other groups in the country implementing similar projects.

Thank you. VThamaini (WMF) (talk) 19:29, 25 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
