Additional information capture through our conversation

Hello @Rehman,

Thank you for taking time to connect. Here are the key notes from our conversation to supplement the content in the application. Adding them here for documentation purposes.

• Timeline - we could have a 12 month window (potentially August 2025 - July 2026)
• Approach - We are looking to recruit 4 volunteers for the photo drive/ project. Each of the 4 volunteers will have existing equipment and there will be this set of new equipment to be shared. In the last project, we covered hydrodam, power stations etc. This time, we are targeting bridges, mountains, rivers and dams
• In terms of trip logistics, we could move through a single loop from Colombo -> central highways -> down south and then back
• If at all we are going to stay anywhere, we will cover the cost personally.
• The budget will only cover photo equipment and fuel cost
• Also, we plan to search for existing articles on Wikipedia which are missing good illustrations of subjects and then plot photo points around the island to maximise productivity. As shared in the metrics section, we will then upload photos on commons and to the articles; A few months later, we will do a view count as well.

As of now, beyond the photo drive/project, there isn't any immediate plans for further activity. JChen (WMF) (talk) 06:55, 17 June 2025 (UTC)

I am circling back to share that we have reviewed your proposal and will not be funding the project. Our assessment is that the proposed project is limited in scope and potential in re-activating a community.
