Is the proposal clear in terms of the change it wants to make? Does the proposal indicate value/impact potential? Is the proposal viable?	The proposal is clear on the theme of what it wants to make. However, it relies on some analysis being carried out during the process to define its goals in detail, making it hard to immediately assess the impact. Responses: The primary objective of this initiative is to preserve and promote the local cultures of the cities we visit, Malang, Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Bali by introducing them to a broader audience through a series of events. In addition, we aim to make a meaningful contribution to the editing and development of content on platforms such as Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage. These efforts are part of our broader mission to extend the reach of cultural preservation and enrich digital content related to the cultural heritage of these cities. Through this initiative, we hope to create a positive impact by enhancing public knowledge of local cultures and encouraging their sustainable preservation.
Does the applicant have the experience (technical / organizing) capacity to implement this project? Does the applicant or team have experience on target Wikimedia projects?	The applicants are new, both to the movement and to editing. Their contributions do not demonstrate significant experience outside of Commons and Wikidata. Responses: Yoana (Komengskuy-External Relation): Komengskuy has been an active member of KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya and contributor to Wikimedia platforms since September 2024. Komengskuy was involved as part of the internal team for UNESCO Jakarta X WMID’s Social Media 4 Peace Dissemination in 2024 and served as a volunteer for the Wikimedia Foundation’s Rapid Fund projects, including Wikibility, Wikidiplomasi at Universitas Brawijaya 2025, and the recently held WikiMuseum. At the Wiki Kelana Budaya, the next rapid fund project, Komengskuy played as External Relation. Komengskuy was appointed as the primary liaison, responsible for fostering communication with local communities, trainers, speakers, and handling participation registration form. Xaviera (Amidaxaviera-Secretary and Treasurer) Amidaxaviera has been actively involved in the Universitas Brawijaya Wiki Club since 2024. Amidaxaviera previously served as the coordinator for a Kopdar (community gathering) event held under the auspices of Wikimedia Indonesia. Through this event, she facilitated collaborative article editing sessions with participants as a means of contributing to the development of content on Wikipedia. Also Amidaxaviera has contributed through editing on Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons. Additionally, Amidaxaviera has participated as a committee member in various club events and supporting projects that promote knowledge sharing and community engagement within the club. Such as serving as a liaison officer at the Wikimedia Foundation's Rapid Fund project Wikibility event and serving as operations staff for WikiMuseum, funded by WMID’s internal grant (Dana Wiki). Currently, Amidaxaviera is serving as Secretary and Treasurer for the upcoming Wiki Kelana Budaya. Furthermore, in the upcoming Wiki Kelana Budaya project, she will contribute by conducting content gap analysis related to Javanese and Balinese cultural heritage across Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage, developing training modules, guidelines, and presentation materials, and serving as a training assistant during workshops. Amidaxaviera has been contributing 242 in Wikimedia Commons and 31 in Wikipedia Kesya (Syaasantoso- Project Assistant – General Affairs) : The applicant has demonstrated both technical and organizational capacity to implement Wikimedia related projects. Over the past year, she actively contributed to various Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. She served as an internal team member for the Wikimedia Foundation’s Rapid Fund supported project WikiBility, where she gained valuable experience in project coordination and content development. In addition, she took on a leadership role as the project leader of WikiLiteratur, an annual project under the KlubWiki Universitas program supported by Wikimedia Indonesia, where she managed the entire project cycle from planning to implementation and evaluation. Furthermore, in the upcoming Wiki Kelana Budaya project, she will contribute her expertise by managing project activities, conducting content gap analysis related to Javanese and Balinese cultural heritage across Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikivoyage, developing training modules, guidelines, and presentation materials, and serving as a training assistant during workshops. Yuan (Xenovilius-Project Manager) Xenovilius has been actively involved in the Wikimedia Foundation movement for the past year, contributing to Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and WikiData. Xenovilius has also participated in various initiatives organized by KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya, including WikiBillity 2024, WikiLatih x UNESCO Jakarta 2025, WikiDiplomasi x Universitas Brawijaya 2025, and WikiLiteratur 2025. Xenovilius will ensure the smooth implementation of the project focused on documenting and enriching cultural heritage content from Java and Bali. Xenovilius’ responsibilities include conducting content gap analysis, preparing training materials and presentation guides, coordinating contributors, engaging with local communities, and overseeing the overall progress to align with Wikimedia’s vision of open and inclusive knowledge.
Does this proposal have support from Wikimedia community members?  Has there been sufficient engagement of community members through the endorsement and feedback process?	No, the project appears to be internal, discussed only with their group. Responses: The Wiki Kelana Budaya project will partner with local Wikimedia communities and cultural organizations across multiple Indonesian cities to document and promote traditional arts, languages, and heritage. In Malang the project will collaborate with KlubWiki Universitas Brawijaya and Sanggar Seni Mahasiswa FIA UB to integrate performing traditional arts into Wikimedia platforms. In Yogyakarta, Wikimedia Yogyakarta and UKM Seni Jawa Gaya Yogyakarta will contribute their expertise in Javanese culture and dance. In Bandung we will involve Wikimedia Bandung and Himpunan Mahasiswa Seni Tari UPI to showcase Sudanese traditions. Meanwhile, in Bali, Wikimedia Denpasar and UKM Kesenian Universitas Udayana will work together to preserve and share Balinese arts and language.
Does the proposed budget adequately reflect the investment needed to achieve the proposed goals?	Yes, reasonable
Does the applicant show clarity in what they hope to learn from their work, given the change they are hoping to achieve?	The learnings seem quite generic. Responses: Responses to this question are already answered and edited in Grants No.17
Questions or feedback to the applicant based on your review	What do you mean when you say “We will conduct offline edit-a-thons after each workshop to conduct edits on Wikipedia articles.” What happens at these offline edit-a-thons, could you share more? Responses: The event will begin with a photo documentation session at a museum, conducted in collaboration with various relevant communities, such as local Wikimedia groups and art enthusiast communities. The aim of this activity is to document cultural elements found within the museum, which will later serve as material for contributions to Wikimedia projects. On the following day, a seminar will be held to explore various topics related to local culture. The seminar will feature speakers from the arts community who are directly involved in the preservation and development of regional culture, providing participants with authentic and insightful perspectives. The series of activities will continue with a workshop and edit-a-thon session, where participants will be guided through the process of editing and adding cultural content to Wikipedia as a form of contribution. The primary focus of this session is to encourage collaborative editing of Wikipedia articles. Meanwhile, contributions to Wikimedia Commons and Wikivoyage will serve as complementary efforts, particularly aimed at enriching visual documentation and cultural destination information related to the featured city. Based on the experience of Wikimedia Indonesia, one of the ways to increase the number of articles is to hold a writing challenge. It can increase more than 100 articles in just one week's event. Why not consider setting up a challenge? Responses: Complementing the core activities, a writing competition will be held for both the public and workshop attendees. This initiative seeks to foster greater engagement in the preservation and promotion of local cultural heritage through the production of high-quality, informative written content.

1. What is the sustainability strategy for the community after the project ends, to ensure that trained editors continue contributing and don’t stop once the incentives or training sessions are over?
2. In the content gap analysis activity, what approach is used to define topics considered “authentic” in relation to Javanese and Balinese cultural heritage?
3. What indicators of success are being used in this project besides the number of articles and participants?
