Hi Chinmayee Mishra. Thank you for submitting this request and your (and the team's) efforts to organize the event. It sounds like you have a great plan and lots of community support. We look forward to hearing how it goes. Cheers, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 23:32, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I want to know something about the grant amount utilization.

As I have already received the grant amount successfully and have started planning for the event,I have booked the venue and required accommodation for the fellow wikimedians for the selected date (3rd December 2017). I just want a small change (as per the majority opinions of my fellow wikimedians) in the expenditure list that, I want to buy small USB flash drives for the wikimedians with a wikisource logo printed on it. Earlier it was mentioned to get printed t-shirts for the wikimedians ,in the grant application (In Resources Section of this application). Earlier this one was not so frequently suggested by the wikimedians to get USB flash drives, so I couldn't mentioned it while applying for the grant. But now I am also getting to know that providing these flash drives to them instead of the t-shirts this time, will be more useful and may add more values to their contribution. I am ready to provide the resource utilization report to WMF accordingly after the event.

I just want to know that is it allowed to do so with the WMF grant guidelines? Can I buy flash drives for the wikimedians instead of t-shirts within the same expenditure budget? --Chinmayee Mishra (talk) 19:41, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Chinmayee Mishra. Thank you for the update. It makes sense to provide USB sticks instead of T-shirts. That is fine. Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 04:00, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
