Report accepted[edit]

Hi, SuperSwift, congratulations on completing your grant! Your expense documentation and your complete grant report have been reviewed and accepted.

Thank you for your engagement with the reporting review process, and with your work throughout the grants process. We appreciate you sharing the outcomes from your project and what you learned with WMF and the community. We have a few reflections on your report:

  • Congratulations on such a successful turnout for the club's launch! Were there specific strategies to recruit participants that worked better than others?
  • We noticed that you had trouble securing a venue. What would you do differently in the future to find the right kind of space for events?
  • What kind of continuing interest have you seen from new editors who attended the event?

We warmly welcome any updates you would like to provide us about your completed project. We thank you for your work for the movement, and offer you our best wishes for your future work.

Best regards, LSmith (WMF) (talk)

Thanks LSmith (WMF). My responses:
  • On recruiting participants, we had to work with the students union of the school to help us in publicity which I can categorically say is the major reason for the massive turnout.
  • As relating to the venue, for subsequent events, I will make sure we don't go for too popular venues that might become contentious. We will stick to venues that can be easily accessed and in strategic positions.
  • The interest of the editors are really surprising. Many wish to be thoroughly grounded in the use of Wikimedia Projects and seek trainings to help them get better. Thus I'm really positive of a good turnout for our next meeting.
Thanks so much. SuperSwift (talk) 03:01, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
