Hello Jwale2, thanks for submitting this Rapid Grant request. We are excited about your plans to run a training session on structured data with your community members. After reviewing the grant application, I have a few questions and requests:

  • You are required to provide links to on-wiki pages where you have informed the relevant communities about your proposed work in advance. Please add these links under question #2.
  • Could you please provide more details on how you plan to reach out to potential participants? The response you have provided to question #3 seems too general for me.
  • Do you have any experience in working with structured data on Commons? Could you please specify?
  • We request more detailed information about the budget. Please include the number of units and unit prices to the budget breakdown.
  • We think that the contingency costs are high. Please reduce them to 50 USD maximum.
  • Please note that if approved, the remaining funds to your Open Festival 2.0 (US$120.48) grant will be deducted from this grant.

  • Yes I have provided details of on-wiki page on #2
  • Potential participant would be reached on local community social media platform like whatsapp, facebook and also we would partner user group like Open Foundation West Africa etc (made that available on #3)
  • Yes I have have experience on structured data on commons and I have had one training session on the topic before, the wiki-page in #2 would give much insight of what I'll bed doing.
  • I have given detailed information about the budget.
  • I have reduced to contingency USD 50
  • Yes please, you can deduct the remaining funds of (US$120.48) of Open Festival 2.0.
