Comments from WMF[edit]

Hello Elenacmunoz, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant request and for running an Art and Feminism event at the Newark Museum. I have reviewed your proposal and have the following questions and comments.

  • You have budgeted 500 USD for social media marketing expenses. Since this expense is higher than what we approve for similar projects, I kindly ask you to reduce it by half and update your budget.
  • Do you already know who will be supporting you as an experienced Wikipedian? Would you please share this person’s Wikimedia username?
  • Would you please push back your grant start date (February 18) by roughly one week to allow time for grant processing?

Thank you again for your contribution to the Wikimedia Movement. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 08:24, 13 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

re: comments from WMF[edit]

Hello,

  • We have reduced our social media budget from $500 to $250. I have updated the budget on the grant proposal page.
  • Last week I reached out to the experienced Wikipedian who has been supporting us. I am sorry I don't have her Wikipedia user name yet, but her name is Gabrielle Reed.
  • I pushed back the start date of the grant by one week to February 25th.

Thank you very much! Elenacmunoz (talk) 15:16, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Approved[edit]

Hello Elenacmunoz, thank you for making the requested changes. I am approving your grant request! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 07:21, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ineligible due to pandemic-related restrictions[edit]

Hello Elenacmunoz, I have marked the proposal as ineligible as we cannot fund the proposal as described due to funding restrictions on in-person events and travel related to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would like to reapply for funding, you may revise your proposal to modify your goals and activities to reflect activities that can be conducted online or in a remote manner. Otherwise, you may wait to reapply until the funding restrictions for in-person events have been modified. While there is no definitive timeline for these changes, we would announce grant funding policy changes both on our grant pages on Meta as well as on the wikimedia-l mailing list. Please let me know if you have any questions. I JethroBT (WMF) (talk) 18:35, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
