Report accepted[edit]

Hello GoEThe, thank you for submitting this grant report. We appreciate your hard work in running a successful Wiki Loves Monuments contest in Portugal! I have reviewed your report and have some comments and questions.

  • I noted that there’s 5.6 EUR of remaining funds. Since the amount remaining is very small, I confirm that you can retain this amount and use it toward any mission-aligned activities. I added a note to your proposal page to reflect this decision.
  • Could you please kindly link the categories of winning and all photos to the report page?
  • Is there a reason why you achieved less number of participants than expected?

Thank you again for your contributions to the Wikimedia Movement. I have accepted your final report and expense documentation. This grant is now complete. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 12:40, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your review and for allowing us to keep the remaining funds. I have linked to the two categories of files on Commons, as you requested. As for the reason we didn't get as many participants as we expected, we have discussed this to some extent internally. I am not sure we have the actual reason, but in my personal opinion, we need to do a better job at advertising the competition nationally, so we will probably budget that in for the next competitions we organize. Also, we got an impression that photographers didn't value the prizes we were offering, so will try to get some additional sponsorship to entice participants. It may not be a matter of the amount, but we think that concrete prizes other than "a prize in the value of x" may be more appealing. GoEThe (talk) 13:31, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
