Report accepted[edit]

Hello CaliBen, thank you for submitting this final report. I reviewed it and have the following questions. Please take your time and respond to them:

  • As mentioned in the grant proposal, did you translate all articles from English?
  • Did you use any tools, for example, Content Translation to translate the articles?
  • The remaining funds of 20,000 TZS will be allocated to your new grant request for Monthly Edit-a-thons 2.
  • In your approved budget, you had expenses for graphic design. Could you please provide more details on how you spent them? What kind of visual content did you create? Did you publish them on Wikimedia Commons?
  • How did you spend the Contingency expenses?
  • Could you also respond to the question about what didn’t work well?

The final report for this project has been accepted. Wishing you all the best. --DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 13:03, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DSaroyan (WMF) thanks for reviewing and accepting the report. Below are responses to your questions>
  • All articles were translated from English.
  • I communicated with admins on Swahili Wikipedia and discouraged using the translating tools as it is easy for new users to make lots of mistakes while using the tool and machine translation produces content that may not be understandable to the natives.
  • The graphic design budget was used to create posters for the events which were sent out together with registration links to social media to create awareness of the project. I did not publish the posters on Wikimedia Commons.
  • The contingency expenses were used to cover up transport as more participants joined the event than expected.
  • I have responded to the question

Please let me know if I can provide more details. Thank you --CaliBen (talk) 13:46, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
