Simple Annual Plan Grant Committee Recommendation

Committee recommendations

Funding recommendations: Euskal Wikilarien Lankide Taldea is a first-time applicant to Simple APG, and they have requested 50,000 EUR in reserve funding, which we recommend granting them. This is a good investment, as it will allow this group to secure their financing of 200,000 EUR a year for three years from the Basque Government in order to support activities closely aligned with the Wikimedia mission. It was a pleasure to learn more about EWLT’s innovative education program work, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with this group. We are very pleased to see this group making the most of funding opportunities offered through the Basque government, and appreciate that they have a quality three-year plan in place. We also appreciate that EWLT has good working relationships with other groups in the region and is collaborating with international efforts to organize small language communities, such as the Celtic Knot conference.
