Request funded[edit]

Dear @Oop:

The Participation Support Committee is glad to support your work on Freedom of Panorama in European countries. We've determined that the Big Fat Brussels Meeting Episode 3 does not offer scholarships for participants, so we are approving your request to cover your accommodation and travel costs to attend.

Thanks for your engagement and we look forward to working with you over the course of your grant.

Best regards, --Marti (WMF) (talk) 23:17, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

An additional request[edit]

As I wrote in the application, I would very much like to be reimbursed for the meals not provided by the event organizers or hotel. So, I was recommended to apply here, on the talk page, for that reimbursement according to the rule that "standard meals & incidental expenses rate will be at 75% of the State Dept and GSA rates" which seems to be 98.25 (75% of 131) USD per diem for Brussels 22. I suspect that if I should eat for that maximum amount I would have serious health problems. Hence, I am quite sure I will manage within that sum - per four days (2 days at the conference, 2 days of travel) the maximum sum would be 393 USD.

On the other hand, I'm not really sure how it works: should I write the additional request before or after having the expenses? To be sure, I decided to make it now and if it's not appropriate, you can say it and I'll return after the event when I'll know the exact costs. Still, it would be nice to know.

So. Would you, please, be so nice and grant me some assurance that my food costs would be reimbursed? --Oop (talk) 11:06, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Oop: Your request for reimbursement of meals for up to 393 USD for your 2 travel days and 2 conference days is approved! Please note that actual amount eligible for reimbursement is dependent on actual costs to you and receipts submitted. -- Best wishes, Jtud (WMF) (talk) 19:44, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
