Grants talk:TPS/Umbrellas000/US OpenGLAM Launch Weekend, Open Knowledge Foundation/Report

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hello, Umbrellas000:

Thank you for the thoughtful report! It is accepted, but we have a few comments and questions.

  1. Thanks for sharing your lessons learned! It's true that it is sometimes tough to balance travel schedules with full participation in an event; on the other hand, it's also important to balance these needs with a frugal use of movement resources for travel. Very true.
  2. We'd love to follow up with you in a few months to learn if this event resulted in a fruitful partnership with the Peabody Essex Museum or a productive editathon. Please feel welcome to provide updates on your work here at any time. I've been in touch with the folks at Peabody Essex already and will see where it goes. It's looking more and more like the editathon would happen in the fall due to organizer schedules. Please do follow up, and I'll also try to remember to check in.
  3. Since it seems you're located in Denver, which chapter do you consider your local Wikimedia Chapter? Boulder - we're working with Gaurav (talk).
