Additional information requested[edit]

Thank you for the report, and apologies for the delay in reviewing it. We'd like to accept it, but we have a few questions.

Unfortunately, due to a glitch in the Participation Support request template, you were not directed to the correct form when creating your report. The correct form may be found here: Participation:Reporting_template.

This is a good description of your participation but we would appreciate if you would also include brief statements on the following:

  1. What lessons were learned that could help others in similar events?
  2. What impact did your participation have on the Wikimedia Mission goals of Increased Reach, Increased Quality, Increased Credibility, Increased and Diversified Participation?
  3. Detail of expenditures: We have received documentation of all expenditures. Please provide a simple list or table here.
  4. Amount underspent/left-over (please specify currency): (This may be applicable only to Jonas, who received advanced disbursement.)

You may add these details directly to the report page itself.

Thank you for the additional information and sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

Collaboration details[edit]

Thanks for the report. The collaborations sound very interesting. Some questions:

  1. Did you really get EBC to release all its news under a CC-by-sa license? Does that include archival material as well? Does it include images and video? Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 02:26, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Is there an active community in ptwikinews to curate the influx of content?[1] Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 02:26, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  3. What exactly does it mean for "Wikimedia Brazil" to "create" material on ptwikibooks? Did members of the APR-CCL commit to personally create the material on ptwikibooks? If not, how was the collaboration defined? Asaf Bartov (WMF Grants) talk 02:26, 12 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replication[edit]

  1. Yes, all its news, images and videos. Actually, they already licensed them material in CC-BY-3.0 (which is compatible with us), we just discovered them. We got them help for the export script, also.
  2. Not likely. Unfortnately, it is our job to raise the volunteers in ptwikinews, but it is a hard task. Anyway, EBC creates a high quality journalism. I believe curating is not that necessary (despite it could improve, of course).
  3. Linux movement will systematize and send us a list of the best material of Linux-installing in all web, and Wikimedia Brazil will personally translate. Of course, we will accept help from ptwikibooks. MetalBrasil (talk) 05:53, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
