ハッシュタグはウィキメディアの編集概要でハッシュタグが使われていることを監視し検索するためのツールです。このツールはすべてのウィキメディア・プロジェクト（ウィキデータを除く）の編集を監視し、ユーザがそれらを検索できるようにします。
このツールはウィキペディアの記事の写真募集キャンペーンにおける測定基準を追跡する主要ツールになっています。#WPWPCampaign はこのツールを使って以下の測定基準を追跡します。
- 写真、音声、動画によって改善された記事の一覧、および総数
- あなたのコミュニティから参加したユーザ名一覧、および総参加者数
- あなたのコミュニティから参加したユーザの貢献数が多い順で示した順位
- 写真、音声、動画によって改善されたウィキペディアの言語別一覧、および総数
#WPWPCampaign ハッシュタグについて
ハッシュタグ（# の文字で始まる文字列）は、キャンペーン期間中に編集されたページの編集内容の要約欄に追記し、追尾できるようにします。#WPWPCampaign 国際組織チームは2種類のハッシュタグを作成しました。それは、(1)一般的なハッシュタグ と (2) コミュニティを特定したハッシュタグ です。
- 一般的なハッシュタグ
The general hashtag is #WPWP. It tracks all the contributions of the entire participating communities, when it is added to the edit summary of a page.
- コミュニティを特定したハッシュタグ
Examples of community-specific hashtag are #WPWPCA (for Wikimedia Canada) and #WPWPTR (for Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey). A community-specific hashtag tracks metrics particular to each participating community. Examples: #WPWPCA will track metrics for the Wikimedia Canada and #WPWPTR will track metrics for Wikimedia Community User Group Turkey. See the list of existing community-specific hashtag. #WPWPCampaign ハッシュタグの使い方
The hashtag is not a substitute for "a descriptive edit summary". The hashtag, #WPWP or the community-specific hashtag must be added to the edit summary box of pages edited alongside a descriptive edit summary. (See the screenshot below). Preview your edits before you publish your changes. Then, save your edits.
Do not insert hashtags in the body of articles edited. You must preview your changes before clicking on the "save button".
For organizers: How to query or check your metrics
If you are a local organizer and you want to either monitor the progress of the campaign or generate your final metrics.
Use this: https://hashtags.wmflabs.org/?query=WPWPX. Replace X with your community-specific code. X = CA for Canada, NG for Nigeria, TR for Turkey, RW for Rwanda and so on. For example see metrics for Rwanda: https://hashtags.wmflabs.org/?query=WPWPRW
