Explain your plan[edit]

Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

I contribute to tasks which can be performed easily on mobile and most of that I do by Desktop view on mobile and a tool I also help in developing. I mostly do anti-vandalism, anti-spam and some tool development work across Wikimedia projects plus I'm also Sysop on Wikidata and Meta. I used to have shared laptop when I started contributing but conditions are no more same and these days I rarely get access to that laptop.

With this gift I can contribute to more complicated zones such as Abuse filters maintenance, batch editing tools for Wikidata which are not possible on mobile, apart from that I can also actively help monitor small wikis, handle requests for account, expand my sysop work and development of tool mentioned above.

As I'm involved in development, crosswiki patrolling and editing on Wikidata, please consider a laptop which can handle heavy task. i3/i5 processor, 4/8 GB of ram with graphics card would be best suited for my usages.

  18. I came across this while I was looking at the list of users who applied, and was surprised to see this request still open. So, here are my few words about 1997kB. I have worked with 1997kb for a few years now, and he is an excellent user who has invested a lot of time and effort in keeping wikimedia projects within scope and preventing any abuse. He is also kind and helpful and has done some amazing work in user renaming section. I think he will make good use of the hardware given, so I fully endorse this request.
