Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

Currently, I serve as the Executive Director of the Wiki Advocates Philippines User Group (WAP UG). Since my prior application in 2019, the Bikol Sentral Wiktionary I was working on has successfully graduated from the Wikimedia Incubator and recently celebrated its 4th anniversary with over 8,300 human-contributed entries.

Today, my contributions have expanded significantly into organizational leadership, community outreach, and technical project management. I serve as the Project Lead for the WikiDunong EduWiki Initiative, which focuses on deploying offline wiki kiosks to schools and reading centers in digitally isolated areas without internet access. I also lead major diversity and language preservation campaigns in the Philippines, including Art+Feminism, #SheSaid, Wikidata Day Philippines, and thedevelopment of audit tools in toolforge like https://suyat.toolforge.org/# and https://philheritage-archive.toolforge.org/#.

If granted, this laptop would be an essential tool for my daily administrative and programmatic work. Our organization is currently transitioning to a data-driven model, and I would use the laptop to manage technical deployments, such as parsing Kiwix logs for our WikiDunong offline portals and generating usage graphs. As an affiliate leader operating in the Bicol region, which is highly vulnerable to catastrophic typhoons and power interruptions, having a reliable, personal laptop will ensure I can sustain WAP UG's operations, oversee complex grant reporting, and continue my active personal editing across Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and local Wikiquote projects.

Health Related Activities:

Our organization's main focus is on language preservation, diversity and inclusivity, human rights and environmental awareness and open knowledge ecosystems, I have had the chance to add Wikidata items for open source health and academic journals and publications from the Philippines
Also given the nature of my work, in the event that I will no longer part of my current organization, I intend to leave the device to my user group.
If awarded, I can arrange for some Filipino Wikimedians attending Wikimania in Paris to pick-up the device on my behalf.
