How i contribute currently

My involvement in the Wikimedia movement is rooted in consistent service and a strong belief in making knowledge accessible to everyone, especially in underrepresented languages. I currently serve on the communications team for Igala Wikimedia, where I play a key role in organizing activities on Meta, mobilizing participants, and maintaining engagement throughout our programs. I also follow up after events to ensure that contributions are not only completed but meet quality standards.

In addition to this, I have been an active volunteer with Igbo Wikimedia for over two years. During this time, I have supported content development, contributed to community-building efforts, and encouraged participation among new and existing editors. My work across both communities reflects a long-term commitment to growing inclusive knowledge spaces and supporting contributors to succeed.

At the moment, my effectiveness is limited by the condition of my laptop. It struggles with basic tasks such as editing, running multiple applications, and participating in online meetings. These limitations slow down my workflow and reduce the level of support I can offer during collaborative activities and training sessions.

If I were fortunate to receive a used laptop from the Wikimedia Foundation, it would significantly improve my ability to contribute. With a more reliable device, I would be able to work more smoothly, respond faster during events, and take on additional responsibilities within the community. I would also be better equipped to mentor new editors, manage projects efficiently, and expand my contributions across Wikimedia platforms.

Receiving this support would not only enhance my individual efforts but also positively impact the communities I serve. It would allow me to contribute at a higher level, support more people, and continue advancing the mission of free knowledge in a more meaningful and sustainable way.
