Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

I am an active contributor to the Bangla Wikipedia (bnwiki), where I currently hold administrator (sysop) rights. I began my journey as a Wikipedian primarily using a mobile device, and for a long time, I managed all my editing and administrative tasks from mobile. However, over time, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to continue editing on mobile—perhaps due to age, or simply because the nature of my contributions has become more complex and demanding.

I don’t usually need a personal laptop for anything outside of Wikipedia work, so I never felt the need to buy one. That’s why I’ve continued working from mobile all these years. Lately, though, I’ve come to realize that having access to a laptop would greatly improve both the quality and consistency of my contributions—especially when it comes to editorial tasks, community coordination, and handling admin responsibilities on-wiki.

These days, I sometimes try to use my office desktop to perform Wikipedia tasks, but that's not always possible. Office hours don’t often allow much free time or opportunity to focus on volunteer work, so my editing becomes irregular and limited.

Currently, mobile editing restricts my ability to do tasks that require detailed writing, multitasking, or working with templates and long-form content. If the Wikimedia Foundation were to support me with a laptop, I would be able to:

Handle administrative and editorial work more comfortably and efficiently.
Engage more actively in content creation, article cleanup, and maintenance.
Participate in community discussions and noticeboards with better responsiveness.
Support newer editors and patrol more effectively.

I don’t consider myself highly needy, but if the Foundation is identifying committed Wikipedians who would benefit from such support, I hope I can be counted among them.
