Explain your plan[edit]

Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you.

I am currently the Programs Manager for Open Foundation West Africa and I have led various edit-a-thons and projects organised by the group for the past 2 years. Acquiring this laptop will help ease off the burden bestowed on me since I often borrow a partially damaged laptop i'm currently using from a work colleague solely for the purpose of Wikimedia projects events. As Programs lead, planning and ensuring programs are executed is constant and usually requires a lot of effort to get it done. Current programs such as Wikipedia training for Ashesi Wiki Club which has been running over a year now, series of edit-a-thons for new editors (schools & religious groups), Summer Open School, not forgetting future events such as Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Festivals will be effectively achieved if i have my personal laptop which will be free and accessible to use at any given time.
