Track Preference

[edit]

Your preferred track during the workshop

[edit]
  • Track 1: Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling

Which track are you most interested in and why?

[edit]
  • It is obvious that I'm most interested in track 1. Because Evaluation and their Impact is very close to my academic experiences. Currently, I am an M.Ed. student, I value the Data of Evaluation and their Impact to improve the teaching-learning process (curriculum transaction). During the workshop, I prefer track 1. In workshop, I evaluate my learning and assess others techniques of learning and way of representing wiki projects. I will use the studies and survey of other wikimedian to increase my efficiency. By evaluating the progress of my work through wikimedia projects has high impact on the community

T.ll us about one Wikimedia program, campaign, or initiative you’ve contributed to in a leadership role

[edit]

What skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from this training?

[edit]
  • Through this training, I hope to gain skills in project evaluation, impact measurement. As an educator and Wikimedia contributor, I aim to learn effective ways to assess student learning and project outcomes, and to communicate those results through clear data storytelling. These skills will help me design and evaluate small-scale educational and community projects, strengthen my academic role, and support the growth and sustainability of Wikimedia initiatives.

Based on your selected track, what is one challenge you have encountered in either evaluating Wikimedia programs or designing impactful projects? Please share your experience relevant to your chosen track.

[edit]
  • One challenge I have encountered in evaluating Wikimedia programs is working with a small and dedicated group of Santali contributors. Standard ways of measuring success often focus on counting articles, which can sometimes overlook the importance of the quality and relevance of content for our language community. This experience has taught me that meaningful impact is better shown through the value and significance of the articles, rather than just the numbers.

How do you plan to apply what you learn after the event?

[edit]
  • After the event, I plan to use the new skills in program evaluation and impact measurement to improve how we assess Wikimedia projects in my Santali community. I will share what I learn through workshops and discussions, helping fellow contributors focus more on the quality and relevance of content, not just numbers. These practices will help our group plan better projects, mentor newcomers, and communicate our impact clearly to both the community and educators.

(Optional) Are you open to mentorship (either receiving or offering it)?

[edit]
  • Yes, I'm open to both.
