Have you participated in any Train the Trainer or similar Wikimedia training before? If yes, please mention the name of the event along with the year in which you participated
[edit]Are you currently involved in any leadership, facilitation, or mentoring roles within the Wikimedia movement? If yes, briefly describe the imitative and your involvement in it
[edit]Yes, I have had a couple of present and past roles within the Wikimedia movement.
- Wiki Loves Folklore 2024 & 2025 – I served as the India jury member for the 2024 edition and a global jury member for the 2025 edition of the photography competition. It was a wonderful experience to help shape the competitions through evaluating and choosing images that conveyed profound stories.
- WikiWomen Advisory Council – I serve as a member of the WikiWomen Advisory Council which was tasked with the objective of choosing the first cohort of the WikiWomen Task Force that would identify and map the needs of women in leadership roles.
- Wiki Club Jamia – I serve as an advisory member of Wiki Club Jamia, as an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia University and a Wikimedian, with the objective to involve students in the growth of the open knowledge movement.
- WikiWomen Camp 2023 (WWC 2023) and WikiConference India 2023 (WCI 2023) – I served as a part of the core organising team, specifically in communications (WCI 2023) and engagement design (WWC 2023) capacity.
Track Preference
[edit]Your preferred track during the workshop
[edit]- Track 1: Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling
Which track are you most interested in and why?
[edit]I am interested in Track 1 to learn about the intersection of volunteer contributions, the insights gained from data analytics, and the potential for its visual storytelling. I have observed a few campaigns from afar and participated in one, like the Feminism and Folklore 2025, and would like to understand the impact of such campaigns on the wider open knowledge movement.
Tell us about one Wikimedia program, campaign, or initiative you’ve contributed to in a leadership role
[edit]There have been a couple of initiatives.

What skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from this training?
[edit]I would like to gain qualitative and quantitative data analytic skills that would help me to design meaningful programs, assess program impact, and engage in data storytelling meaningfully. It would help to supplement future roles in the Wikimedia movement.
Based on your selected track, what is one challenge you have encountered in either evaluating Wikimedia programs or designing impactful projects? Please share your experience relevant to your chosen track.
[edit]It is a new space for me and I am intrigued to learn more about it. I do not have current challenges to expand upon.
How do you plan to apply what you learn after the event?
[edit]I intent to expand my participation in various community projects like the future iterations of Wiki Loves Folklore and increase my contribution to the Wikimedia Commons space. I can help other Wikimedians to learn about data storytelling and its importance in the work that all of us do.
(Optional) Are you open to mentorship (either receiving or offering it)?
[edit]Yes, I am.
