• In Tamil Wikisource, I organized and facilitated to complete 20 Volumns of Tamil history. (Start:Dec 2024, End-July 2025)

• Track 2 for Tamil Wikisource.

Tell us about one Wikimedia program, campaign, or initiative you’ve contributed to in a leadership role

• Reducing gender gap . In Tamil Wikisource, women contributors are high (verify) compare with other Tamil Wikimedia projects.
• In 2021, Tamil team won the first prize in BBC Indian Sportswomen of the Year 2021. I am one of the two coordinator and did all the documentation in local wiki and meta.
• In 2024, I coordinated 100 wiki days with 12 Tamil wikipedians. 7 were successfully completed.

What skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from this training?

• Best practices from others(esp., Telugu Wikisource (The inspiration of Wikisource conference, 2025) for Tamil Wikisource. If they ask my practice, i will educate them. I would like to learn Wikisource-Wikidata related practices for Wikisource reader app

Based on your selected track, what is one challenge you have encountered in either evaluating Wikimedia programs or designing impactful projects? Please share your experience relevant to your chosen track.

See, my track is 2. So, i am going to evaluate encyclopedia data.

• Relevant experience : I co-ordinated to complete vol 1 of Tamil first encyclopedia (the talk page)

• Challenge 1 : production - double column OCR, font size is small, cropping images (magnifier should be added to the existing CSS crop tool)

• Challenge 2 : Migration
  • How to migrate automatically the technical terms to Wiktionary or wd:Lexeme ?
  • The procedures to migrate articles which is not exsits in Tamil Wikipedia

How do you plan to apply what you learn after the event?

• Usually i do screen casts to understand my way of approach and i will give answer to contributors phone call. If necessary, i will give the screen-cast for their questions. I can give the screen-casts with relevant wiki document links in English version also.

• Both
