Track Preference
[edit]Your preferred track during the workshop
[edit]- Track 2: Micro-Project Design Challenge – From Learning to Action
Which track are you most interested in and why?
[edit]- Track 1: In my Wikimedia movement, I have often seen excellent projects struggle to gain recognition or support due to the lack of clear evaluation and storytelling. This track would help me strengthen my skills in analyzing outcomes, using data to tell compelling stories, and presenting evidence that can inspire partners, funders, and new contributors. I want to bring these skills back to my community so we can design more impactful programs and clearly show the value of our collective work.
- Track 2: I want to strengthen my ability to design initiatives that are realistic, scalable, and impactful. The hands-on approach of this track will help me translate new knowledge into action plans, which I can immediately bring back to my community to implement outreach campaigns, skill-building workshops, and collaborative activities.
Technical & Tools Track; I am most interested in the Technical & Tools track because I often encounter contributors who struggle with editing tools, templates, and project coordination software. By improving my technical expertise and learning how to explain these tools effectively, I can become a resource person who helps others overcome technical barriers to contribution.
Tell us about one Wikimedia program, campaign, or initiative you’ve contributed to in a leadership role
[edit]- I have involved in many Events office and on online since 2016, like Contest, edit thon, confrence, workshop as a Organizer and Participant, besides I have global rights Global Rollbacker and Global Renamer which right I use everyday Wikimedia contribution. Apart from that I'm recently elected Board Member for Wiki world heritage User Group, and project leads of WLR Team.
What skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from this training?
[edit]- I also hope to gain insights into building sustainable projects, mentoring new contributors, and creating action-oriented plans that can be applied within my community. These skills will help me become a more effective trainer and enable me to support others in contributing meaningfully to Wikimedia projects, New grants structure and policy. Because I want Wiki world heritage User Group activities in india.
Based on your selected track, what is one challenge you have encountered in either evaluating Wikimedia programs or designing impactful projects? Please share your experience relevant to your chosen track.
[edit]- While coordinating Wiki Loves Ramadan, WAM, WLF, others local & international , I tracked the number of contributions, new participants, and partnerships formed. I also prepared reports and shared results with the community, which gave me some experience in both quantitative evaluation and basic storytelling. However, I often felt limited in my ability to move beyond statistics to highlight qualitative impact, such as community growth and participant motivation. This background makes me eager to build stronger skills in evaluation frameworks, data interpretation, and narrative building.
And may see my leadership contribution here
How do you plan to apply what you learn after the event?
[edit]- I plan to apply my learning by organizing local workshops and mentorship sessions to share the knowledge with community members especially newcomers. I will integrate the skills from my chosen track into real projects—for example, by improving how we evaluate initiatives and tell impact prospect (Micro-Project Design Challenge – From Learning to Action) or by designing more structured and actionable community programs
