[edit]Yes I regularly organize different Edit-a-thons in Wikipedia to increase the number of good quality article in Bengali language. I organize or participate in workshops of Wikipedia and Wikisource for mentoring, outreach and facilitation. Details of these are given in the following section.

Tell us about one Wikimedia program, campaign, or initiative you’ve contributed to in a leadership role

What skills or knowledge do you hope to gain from this training?
[edit]- I hope to learn to design my project more realistically. I will learn the pros and cons of a design and a trade off between the options so that the best comes out, to frame a timeline within which the whole thing must be done. I will learn to do projects aligned with the need of my community along with the collaboration with other communities.
Based on your selected track, what is one challenge you have encountered in either evaluating Wikimedia programs or designing impactful projects? Please share your experience relevant to your chosen track.
[edit]- Sustaining editors after outreach is the most common and biggest problem. When edit-a-thons are hoarded with tangible prizes, the number of contributions are high but for contributory or quality improvement edit-a-thons without prize, the number dips. In the case of workshops also, often many priorly signed up attendees do not show up.
How do you plan to apply what you learn after the event?
[edit]- After the event, I believe I will be able to engage most number of volunteers of my community to the projects, fine tune the resources so that I can help the project volunteers, properly evaluate the project advancement.
(Optional) Are you open to mentorship (either receiving or offering it)?
[edit]- I would like to support someone else and be paired with a mentor, I am open to both the options.
