IIITH-OKI/Advanced Train The Trainer 2025/Tracks

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

The Advance Train the Trainer (ATTT) 2025 program features two immersive, in-depth thematic tracks, each designed to equip experienced Wikimedians with specialized knowledge and actionable skills. Participants will be assigned to one track for the full duration of the 3-day event, based on their interests, background, and capacity for future impact.

These tracks aim to foster peer learning, creative thinking, and leadership development through hands-on workshops, facilitator-guided sessions, collaborative exercises, and outcome-driven capstone work.

Track 1: Evaluation, Impact, and Data Storytelling

[edit]

This track will empower participants to analyze, interpret, and communicate the outcomes of Wikimedia programs using both data tools and human-centered storytelling techniques. Many community-led efforts struggle to express their real-world value beyond basic metrics. This track addresses that gap.

Participants will:

  • Learn to use tools and frameworks for measuring program impact
  • Practice transforming raw data into meaningful stories
  • Peer review real program reports for shared learning
  • Create a sample “Impact Snapshot” for a past or ongoing initiative

Track 2: Project Design Challenge – From Learning to Action

[edit]

In this track, participants will design a realistic 3-month project rooted in their local or thematic context. The goal is to translate learning into actionable steps that directly benefit their communities.

Participants will:

  • Learn to use logic models or project canvases for planning
  • Collaborate in peer feedback circles to refine project ideas
  • Be matched with mentors for remote guidance post-event
  • Pitch their micro-project to peers and facilitators

Note: This track is ideal for those who want to develop leadership through practical, community-rooted implementation.
