IIMC Workshop, 2017
Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dhenkanal is one of the prominent institutes in Odisha for providing degree in mass communication. On 31st January 2017, an Odia Wikipedia workshop was organised on the campus of IIMC.
Theme[edit]
The theme of the event was to introduce Odia Wikipedia, Wikimedia Projects and a Wikipedia training session for the students.
Workshop details[edit]
Workshop occurred for three hours in two part.
- In the first part, An introduction to Open Source , Wikipedia , Odia Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects was given in the classroom of the IIMC for all students.
- In the second half Odia Wikipedia editing was trained to the participants.
Participation[edit]
More than 70 students participated in the orientation program and 20 students attended the Odia Wikipedia workshop and edited Wikipedia.
