International Day of Parliamentarism Nigeria

The International Day of Parliamentarism Campaign is a collaborative project between Wikimedia User Group Nigeria (WUGN) and The Electoral College Nigeria to celebrate the International Day of Parliamentarism.

This initiative aims to enhance Wikipedia and Wikidata content related to Nigerian parliamentarians while promoting civic awareness and open knowledge about Nigeria’s democratic institutions.

Overview

[edit]

The campaign will feature a webinar, an edit-a-thon, and a physical training session to engage editors, civic enthusiasts, and new contributors in improving Wikipedia articles and Wikidata items about Nigerian Senators and House of Representatives members (past and present). The project aligns with the International Day of Parliamentarism and supports the missions of WUGN (open knowledge) and The Electoral College Nigeria (civic education).
