Members of the Italian Wikipedia community and the North-West Russia Wiki-Historians User Group held a meetup during the CEE Meeting 2025 in Thessaloniki and agreed upon on a starting joint collaboration program.

Joint Article Writing Contest

We are holding a collaborative article writing contest in February—March 2026. During this period, Italian Wikipedia contributors will create articles about Russia, and Russian Wikipedia contributors will create articles about Italy. Outstanding contributions will be awarded prizes, with the details of the prizes to be determined later.

Joint Efforts for Securing Financial and Non-Financial Support

Both groups agreed to work together to seek financial and non-financial support from the Wikimedia Foundation, using their shared knowledge to improve their applications.
