Appearance
- User Rights Management: Allows users with advanced permissions to assign and revoke various user rights. Many large wikis have local process for handling user rights, if not requests for user rights applied on metawiki https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Permissions, requirements https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Steward_requests/Permissions/Minimum_voting_requirements
- Special:Import: there are two types of importing Fileupload & transwikiupload
- File Upload: used to import xml files that are generated through Special:Export, needs importer rights which can be applied through meta wiki, due to complexity of tool only stewards are allowed to grant importer rights across wikimedia.
- Transwiki upload: all admins are able use this import from list of wikis predefined in
wgImportsources

Vandalism and Spam
- Block and Unblock Tools: Used to prevent users from editing, either temporarily or permanently, to combat vandalism or disruptive behavior, use Special:Block for blocking, for unblocking Special:Unblock
- Page Protection: Allows administrators to restrict editing of a particular page, preventing vandalism or edit wars.

- Edit Abuse Filter Special:AbuseFilter: A tool to prevent certain types of edits or track specific patterns of behavior.
Communication/Notices
- Special:MassMessage: Used to send messages to multiple users simultaneously.
- SiteNotice: Tool for managing site-wide banners and notices.
- Mediawiki:Sitenotice - for registered users
- Mediawiki:Anonnotice - Anonymous users
- Special:CommunityConfiguration/CommunityUpdates - visible at Special:Homepage
- SiteJS/CSS: add ability to modify site interface and functionality (requires interface admin rights for editing)
- Gadget special:gadgets: can also be used as SiteJS/CSS (requires interface admin rights for configuring)

Currently only few tools are available across wikimedia, configurable by admins, below are tools availble in wikipedia

- Special:CommunityConfiguration/HelpPanel list useful help pages that can accessed through? floating button on any page,
- Special:CommunityConfiguration/GrowthHomepage, Special:CommunityConfiguration/GrowthSuggestedEdits newcomer starter guide and tasks for making suggested edits that are mentoined in Special:NewcomerTasksInfo
- Special:CommunityConfiguration/Mentorship configured by admins useful for any any user join as mentor Special:EnrollAsMentor and claim mentees
- Special:ChangeContentModel: can be used to change model of any page in following options CSS, Javascript, JSON, Mass Message delivery list, plain text, Sanitized CSS, wikitext based requirements
