Kashmiri Wikimedians User Group organized a series of workshops. The details of the workshops are given below.

Introduction to Wikidata Workshop

Held on 31st October 2024 as a hybrid event (both offline and online), this session introduced participants to the Wikidata project. It focused on how structured data can enhance the content and appearance of Kashmiri Wikipedia through infoboxes and other data-driven elements.

Introduction to Wikipedia Workshop

Conducted on 1st November 2024, this workshop aimed to familiarize newcomers with the basics of editing Wikipedia, including article creation, formatting, and sourcing.

Content Translation and Article Creation Workshop

Organized on 29th December 2024, this session focused on translating content from other languages into Kashmiri, as well as creating original articles. Participants were guided on using the Content Translation tool effectively.

Introduction to Wikimedia Commons

Held on 19th January 2025, this workshop introduced participants to Wikimedia Commons, covering image uploading, licensing, and categorization to support visual documentation of the region.

Translatewiki Workshop

This session took place on 23rd March 2025 and was presented by User:Amire80. It focused on Translatewiki.net, a key platform for translating interface messages used across Wikimedia projects, enabling better localization for Kashmiri users.

Wikipedia Administrative Tasks Workshop

Conducted on 15th April 2025, this session provided an overview of administrative responsibilities on Wikipedia, including page protection, vandalism handling, and user rights management.

These workshops have significantly contributed to building a more informed and active community around the Kashmiri Wikimedia projects. Participants gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience, which will continue to strengthen the movement in the region.
