Kerala Culture Month 2026
Kerala Culture Month 2026 is a campaign dedicated to expand, improve, and illustrate content about Kerala across all Wikimedia projects. The campaign aims to bring together Wikimedia communities to build a comprehensive, open database of information about Kerala.
This campaign is organised as a pre-event of WikiConference India 2026
Goals
[edit]- Wikipedia Articles: Increase the number of articles about Kerala on Wikipedia in all languages.
- Content Improvement: Enhance the quality of existing articles by adding reliable citations, expanding sections, removing stubs and add quality images.
- Media Integration: Populate Wikimedia Commons with freely licensed images and media of various subjects of Kerala to be used in articles.
- Data Enrichment: Improve data on Wikidata items related to Kerala by adding relevant properties and identifiers.
- Community Engagement: Foster collaboration between different language communities and encourage new editors to contribute.
How to Participate

Login First
On Wikipedia:
- Create new articles about subject related to Kerala that don't have one yet.
- Expand existing stubs related to Kerala.
- Add citations from reliable sources to improve article quality.
- Translate articles related to Kerala into other languages.
On Wikimedia Commons:
Upload images related to Kerala.
On Wikidata:
- Create or enrich Wikidata items related to Kerala. For Items and properties related to Kerala look at the Wikiproject Kerala Page in Wikidata
- Add properties like location, date of establishment, and other relevant information.
- Add labels, description in your language or other relevant information.
