What problem does this solve?[edit]

Most of the learning reports pages on Metawiki are heavily textual. Adding graphs and charts to these pages makes them more visually appealing, and easier to understand. However, adding charts and graphs as image files has some drawbacks such as the difficulty in updating those graphs, and the need of an external software to prepare them.

What is the solution?[edit]

Using Module:Chart, users are able to add their own charts to reports without the need of using external softwares. Each chart created with Module:Chart is editable, like a wiki table, so users can update those graphs as needed without having to upload a new image to Wikimedia Commons.

General considerations[edit]

  • The chart module is now limited to bar and pie charts only, with various configurations for each type.
  • It's highly recommended to read the module documentation page, and use the provided examples for a better understanding of how the module works.
