Luganda Wikimedia Projects Mentorship 2025

In 2025, Luganda Wikimedia will mentor 15 editors on creating, editing and improving the content on the Luganda Wikimedia projects, including Wikidata, Luganda Wikipedia, and Wikimedia Commons. Mentees will also be taught how to translate from English to Luganda.
Campaign goals and targets
[edit]1. Develop Wikipedia Editing Skills: Train 15 editors on creating, editing and improving content on the Luganda Wikimedia projects, with a focus on Luganda Language Wikis.
2. Increase the number of Wikidata Items in Luganda, at least 300 Items
3. Create at least 15 Luganda Wikipedia articles.
4. Translate at least 300 Wikipedia articles.
5. Improve at least 300 Luganda Wikipedia articles
6. Translate captions and Descriptions of Ugandan photos on Wikimedia Commons - at least 300 photos.
7. Foster a Sustainable Community: Build a community of Luganda Wiki-focused Wikimedians who will continue contributing after the campaign ends.
