Maithili Wikimedians User Group/Events/International Mother Language Day Event in 2024
Background
[edit]The International Mother Language Day Event was an interaction event organized by the Maithili Wikimedians User Group in Rajbiraj, Nepal. The local Wikimedians, and community members gathered together to discuss about the importance of Maithili Wikipedia in development of Maithili language. We have arranged a session named Technical Terminology of Maithili language by Satish Kumar Dutta, a Maithili scholar.
This Day is observed every year on 21 February to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
