What is this Wikimeet?
[edit]This is a casual social event for people in or near Cardiff to meet other people interested in Wikipedia.
Over (optional) coffee and snacks we can get to know each other a little, talk about the various projects we are working on (or would like to get involved with), ask for some information or advice on something or talk about what sort of in person Wiki activities we might like in Cardiff.
Who is this event for?
[edit]You can expect to meet some very keen Wikipedians, but this is also an open invite for anyone interested in finding out more about Wikipedia and its sister projects (in either Welsh or English).
Is this event in Welsh or English?
[edit]Both! Either! If you'd like to speak Welsh, the organisers Gemma and Rhys are both bilingual and happy to chat to you in either Welsh or English.
Whatever language/s you edit Wiki in (or would like to edit in), you are warmly welcomed and we will make sure you are included.
Finding us
[edit]Bru Coffee has 2 locations in Cardiff and this one is on Queen Street.
If you are travelling by train, it is a short walk (0.2 miles) from Queen Street station and a similar distance from Dumfries Place and Churchill Way bus stops.
Look out for a table with Wikipedia merch! If you're anxious, please message User:Gemma Coleman (WMUK) and I can give you my mobile number to help you find us on the night.
